 Mike Buchholz: With a background in construction, Mike started Custom Closets and Bedrooms in 1990.  He was looking for a niche, something he could offer that no one else did.  He found it.  In the current market, people are looking at ways to maximize the space available in their homes.

This local family owned company has had up to 18 dedicated staff, and serves the Pacific Northwest from King County to the Canadian border.  Mike says that during the past 26 years competitors have come and gone, all the while Custom Closets and Bedrooms has continued to grow due to our excellent quality and service.

Jana Miesuk: I have worked here at Custom Closets since 1994 with my dad and YES I am older than I look.  The family dog, Bandit, also enjoys coming to work with me and getting his daily dose of petting from our customers.  I am a people person and I love the fact that my job is not the same every day.  I get to meet super nice people and see really cool houses.  It’s fun to see the “pieces” of the puzzle and put it together for my clients.

Some of you know that working here has allowed me to have the family, or the little monsters as I call them, that I enjoy and share stories of.  My two boys have high entertainment value around the office and with my clients.  I also enjoy playing volleyball and softball, reading, collecting shot glasses and hanging with my friends and family.

I look forward to many more years with Custom Closets and my dad.  

Dawn Sessions:  I have been a designer with Custom Closets and Bedrooms since 2001.  My time at Custom Closets and Bedrooms has been rewarding on many levels.  When Mike hired me he stated “work when you want to work” which has allowed me the opportunity to do many things in my role as a designer and as wife and mom.  Over the years I have met many wonderful clients and have the opportunity to bring to life many creative designs.

My interests outside of work as many of my friends, family and clients know are softball, volleyball, and water skiing.  All of which I enjoy greatly  and have had to have more than a few parts put back together due to my love of these sports.  It is not too terribly uncommon to have had a client describe me as “the one who was on crutches.”

I look forward to collaborating with many more clients in my future with Custom Closets and Bedrooms.
